QR codes for marketers & agencies / Early access

Less code.
More scans.

qrtofu turns every link into the smallest standard QR code there is, so it prints cleaner, sits better in your design and reads from farther away. Then brand it, scan-test it, track it, and change where it points long after it's printed.

01Smaller codes

Same space. Bigger squares.

A phone reads a QR code square by square. Most generators pack long links into dense 25×25 or 33×33 grids. qrtofu links are short and uppercase, so they fit the smallest grid there is: 21×21. Printed at the same size, every square is bigger, so the code reads from farther away and holds up to blur and shaky hands.

  • ~14% farther than a typical short link
  • ~40% farther than a long tracking link

Each view is what a camera sees of the same printed size: fewer pixels the farther you stand, plus a little lens blur. In our separate simulation with the open-source ZXing decoder (100 tilted, blurred trials per size), a 21×21 code read from about 14% farther than a 25×25 short link and about 40% farther than a 33×33 link with tracking tags. Real phone cameras vary.

02Logo, styling & SVG

Make it on-brand. We'll prove it still scans.

Colors, module shapes, corner styles and your logo. Every change is scan-tested on the spot for distance, blur, low light and contrast, so nothing reaches the printer unproven. Export a clean SVG, PNG or PDF with the quiet zone built in. Try it.

04Analytics

Analytics that outlive your plan.

See scans by day, placement, device and city. UTM tags are added on the redirect, so every scan shows up properly in your own analytics without cramming tracking into the printed code. And if you ever cancel, nothing goes dark: codes keep redirecting, scans keep counting, and your history stays yours to view and export.

Cancel and every printed code still lands where you last pointed it.

  • 02Scans keep counting

05Multi-code campaigns

One campaign. A code for every placement.

Give the poster, the flyer, the packaging and each mailer its own code under one campaign, all pointing where you want. Then see which placement actually earns its scans. Need hundreds? Create them from a spreadsheet: one per store, per rep, per variant.

    06White label for agencies

Your brand up front. A clean handoff at the end.

Run every client in its own workspace. Dashboards, scheduled reports and approval links carry your agency's logo and colors. When the engagement wraps, transfer the codes to the client's corporate account, and nothing printed breaks.

      Agency workspace

You build, brand and test the codes in the client's own workspace.

    2. 2
      Client approval link

They see the design, the scan check and the destination, then approve before print.

    3. 3
      Corporate account

Transfer everything when the engagement ends. Codes and history move intact.

    Partially white-label, on purpose

Your brand goes on everything your client looks at. The short domain stays ours, because a five-character domain is what keeps every code at 21×21. A longer custom domain would make your client's codes bigger and harder to scan.

    07Personal brands Coming soon

A code that actually fits on a business card.

Contact-card QR codes cram your whole vCard into the pattern and come out a dense 57×57. A qrtofu link stays 21×21 and still opens your details. The business-card helper will size and test the code for a standard 3.5 × 2 in card. Next comes an online business card, so the code you print never has to change.

    Questions

    The short answers.

Why are the links in capital letters?

QR codes have a compact mode for capital letters and numbers that stores each character in less space. One lowercase letter switches it off and pushes the code to a bigger grid. Domains don't care about case, and our short codes don't either, so someone typing the link by hand in lowercase still gets there.

Will the codes really scan better?

At the same printed size, fewer squares means bigger squares, and bigger squares read from farther away and through more blur. That's why barcode standards size QR codes by square size. In our simulation, the gain was about 14% more distance than a typical short link and about 40% more than a long link with tracking tags. Real phones vary, which is why we scan-test every design.

    Can I add my logo?

Yes. A logo covers part of the pattern, so codes with logos step up to 25×25 with high error correction to make up for it. That's still smaller than what most generators make without a logo, and every design is scan-tested before you export.

    What happens if I cancel?

Your printed codes keep redirecting to wherever you last pointed them, scans keep counting, and your history stays available to view and export. Printed materials outlive subscriptions, and your codes should too.

Can I use my own domain?

White label covers everything your clients see: dashboards, reports and approval links carry your brand. The codes themselves use our five-character domain, because a longer domain would make every code bigger and harder to scan.

    What files do I get?

SVG, PNG and PDF, with the required quiet zone built in and the minimum print size noted, so the print shop has everything they need.

    Is there a free plan?

The Sandbox is free for trying things out. Its codes live on a separate domain, so spam made with free accounts can never hurt the reputation of the domain your printed codes use.
